The quote
The fee in your written plan is the fee. It covers records, the appliance, every adjustment, emergency repairs during active treatment, debond, both retainers and the first two years of retainer reviews. It does not change because treatment ran longer than expected.
Paying
One fifth at fitting, then equal monthly payments to the planned debond date, interest free and with no credit agreement. If treatment finishes early the remaining payments stop. If it runs over, no further payments are taken.
Appointments
Adjustments are every six weeks for fixed appliances and every eight to ten weeks for aligner reviews. A missed appointment without 48 hours' notice is charged at £40, and the charge exists to protect the appointment book rather than to raise money — it is waived once, for anybody, without a reason being asked for.
What we need from you
- Elastics and aligners worn as instructed. Twenty-two hours a day is not a target, it is the dose.
- Your general dentist seen for check-ups throughout — we do not provide routine dental care.
- Breakages reported the same week rather than at the next scheduled visit.
Where wear is persistently below what the plan needs, we will say so, in writing, and offer either a revised plan or an early debond. We will not keep taking payments for a treatment that is not progressing.
Ending treatment early
You can stop at any time. We will remove the appliance, fit retainers to hold whatever position has been reached, and refund the proportion of the fee corresponding to the treatment not delivered, less the cost of the appliance and records.
